Thank you for your housing application!
Applications registered during the period from 12 July-12 August will be divided into two categories.
- Applicants with New Student status in the housing queue, ie applicants who are accepted to studies at Lund for the first time and who live outside commuting distance. For commuting distance, etc, see ’Queuing and Rental Conditions’, Section 2.
- Applicants without New Student status in the housing queue.
Category 1. If you make a housing application between 12-15 July, you will receive a place in the queue by lottery. The lottery takes place on 16 July, and when it is complete you will receive confirmation of accepted application by e-mail. Log into our home page and see your queue place. Lottery is used so that you will have the same chance of a residence irrespective of the actual day you receive your acceptance message or enter your housing application.
If you make a housing application between 16 July-12 August your place in the queue will be based on the date of application - in other words, straightforward queuing. You will receive confirmation of accepted application by e-mail within a few minutes. Log into our home page and see your queue place.
Category 2. Straightforward queuing applies, ie date of application determines place in the queues. Confirmation of your application will arrive via e-mail within a few minutes.
